"The reason for my blog post on this odd topic was so that I could gush about this particular merchant, this nice and friendly lady who walked me through this process, exchanged over a dozen emails with me as she helped me decide which ones to get, and still gave me such a huge deal on this jewelry that I had to negotiate a higher price than the one that she quoted so that she wouldn't shortchange herself. Why would I do something so crazy as that? Well, this woman provided something very special with the first piece of jewelry that I bought from her and did so again with these most recent purchases ... she provided me with a story to go with the gift. In telling me how she made these pieces, what inspired her, how much she liked this one, how her daughter adored that one, and other intimate details the gift was transformed for me from a simple inanimate object to a work of art that was honed with love and attention by a person who really put her heart and energy into the work to give it a life of its own."

For me, Santa came this year in the form of Tamara aka Tammy President of Freyjas Jewels - who spent the time to understand what I was looking for and create the most beautiful pieces of hand crafted jewellery a person could ask for, Thanks Tammy you made someones Christmas this year, and she now lives in the "Land of Compliments" on a side note, I had thought the products would not make it on time, but on Christmas Eve 2008, around noon, a knock came on the door and I am not saying it was Santa himself, but the fellow did look kind of close and delivered the goods. Bought a lovely lampwork necklace as well as a pair of earrings and they were as beautiful, if not more, as the photos shown on the website. It all started with an Amethyst bracelet and necklace, and to date, I have received eight items from Tamara, with three more being created. Yes, It was my best online shopping ever, not only beacuse the product was made perfect and the colors combination is wonderful, but also Tamara made it possible for me to surprise my loved one from abroad.
